Just The Facts
I'm a Roman Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I was born on May 4, 1943 in Toronto, the
last of eight children--son to Joseph and Josephine, who had both emigrated from the island of Malta. Growing up in the heart
of the city, I attended Catholic elementary and high schools. Then I entered St. Augustine's Seminary in 1960. After eight
years of study I was ordained to the priesthood on June 1, 1968. I spent several years in parish work and in 1976 was asked
to take up the post of Pastoral Education Director at St. Augustine's Seminary. After six years in that position I became
the Spiritual Director of the Seminary. In 1985 I moved to the parish of Epiphany of Our Lord where I became the pastor. Then
onto St. Mary's in Barrie in 1993. Now I am the author of a homiletic service
called "Seeds for Sowing". Check out www.seedsforsowing.homestead.com
While a student at the seminary, I spent four years working with CIASP - 1964 - 1967...all in the Pisaflores area. These
were definitely life-changing experiences for me. I still carry that time somewhere deep within me, and I know it works its
way into my everyday decisions and life choices in ways that I would find it hard to put into words.
During my time as a priest I became very involved with the Retrouvaille Program--a ministry of outreach to married couples
who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships.
I enjoy sailing and walking--love music dearly and nature as much.
